Biography
My name is Pei SHI. I'm currently a graduate student at School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, advised by Prof. Li Yang, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), China. And I will receive my Master of Engineering degree in March 2018. My research mainly focuses on the safe electrolyte for lithium ion batteries.
Currently, I have achieved success in formulating several kinds of safe electrolytes for full cells, and synthesizing some Li-rich layered oxides for cathode and some functionalized ion liquids. In these process, I have abundant experience in the synthesis of inorganic and organic compounds, assembling and test of batteries, and characterization and analysis of electrode materials. To date, I have two papers at the first author published in Journal of Materials Chemistry A and Journal of The Electrochemical Society, two papers at the second author published in Journal of Power Sources and Inorganic Chemistry Frontiers. Besides, in my undergraduate thesis, I employed hydrothermal and one-pot annealing methods to synthesize a nitrogen and sulfur co-doped graphene nanocomposite, and studied its oxygen reduction reaction performance. Later its complete work was published in Journal of Materials Chemistry A. Besides, with my hard work and perseverance, I have excelled in many major courses and won the National Scholarship in 2013 and 2017. Thus, I have laid a solid foundation for my following study and research. My research experiences have inspired me to move forward and equipped me with critical thinking and pragmatic skills to accomplish a systematic work. I aspire to become a scholar in the future. My objectivity is to obtain a Ph.D. degree in the field of energy storage and conversion or nanomaterial. More information about me can by acquired by the other part of this website or my curriculum vitae which can be downloaded below.
